If you were waiting for the Marvel movie Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, you must wait till May 2026, especially now that their writer, Jeff Loveness, has left it. The production house, Marvel, will be going ahead with the production of the movie Avengers: Kang Dynasty.
Now, they have got Michael Waldron, the Loki Creator, to write the superhero movie! He has signed up to write the Avengers: Kang Dynasty script. He was already in talks with Marvel for the next film, Avengers: Secret Wars.
Furthermore, the writer also has movies such as Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness to his credit. He has also directed multiple episodes of the Rick and Morty seasons. Jeff Loveness also walked out of the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which started the whole controversy.
The controversy was about the production house; Marvel is trying to move away from the storyline of the Villain-centered plot! It is due to this fact that Marvel is looking to divert from the same old storyline based on villains.
This is because some of the latest superhero movies failed badly at the box office! At the House of R podcast, the co-author of MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios stated that Jeff Loveness had walked away from the movie Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
Kang was first introduced in Loki season 1 and was the Marvel Comics baddie! He was brought to life by Jonathan Majors for Marvel Studios! The storyline was all set to become the big baddie after Thanos for the Multiverse saga that Marvel is weaving across the superhero genre!
Unfortunately, the past few superhero movies have failed significantly; Marvel is looking for something new with Kang! Jonathan Majors’s future at the MCU is, however, questionable after he was arrested on charges of harassment and assault in March 2023!
This has further led to Kevin Feige reassessing the movie and looking for a new director! The film is set to release on 1 May 2026!
